SILENCE.

They scream “ALL LIVES MATTER!” but, exclude black lives.

When will our lives have a value?

When will our lives be put into consideration?

You labeled us as “thugs” and not human beings.

We are known to be ghetto, ignorant, and uneducated.

Simply labeled because of our skin color.

Meanwhile we are striving for black excellence.

Black lives DO matter.

Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Sandra Bland, Alton Sterling and Philando Castiles life did NOT matter.

Including all the other black lives that were taken due to police brutality and still have not reached the media.

But all lives matter right?

Innocent lives taken for selling cigarettes, an improper lane change, selling cds & reaching in a pocket for an ID the police officer requested.

That must’ve been such a threat to society for a police officer to abuse his authority right?

They are cowards with a badge and gun thinking they have a right to determine if someone goes home to their family or taken away in a body bag.

Another innocent black life taken and another hashtag developed.

We are more than a hashtag; we are fucking human beings.

They continue to abuse their authority and end innocent lives.

Yet no one is still held accountable.

How many people need to be snatched away from their family for us to be heard?   

Our lives have no value to them.

We can scream “BLACK LIVES MATTER” until our face turns blue, but do they actually hear us?

We were born in a white dominated nation; we have no voice.

Our throats have been cut out, we have been silenced by white supremacists.
